TOM DIXON
Tom started his career as a designer in the early 1980's working in recycled metal. Since then he has worked across a series of different material types, particularly known for his S-chair designed for Cappellini and the rotationally moulded Jack Lamp that gained the Millennium Mark for great British design in 1998. Formerly creative director for UK furniture retailer Habitat, Tom now fills that position for Finnish historic design manufacturer Artek. Since founding Tom Dixon. the company in 2002, he has designed products for such clients as Moroso, De Vecchi, Salviati, Swarovski, Myla and Tronconi. Tom's interior projects include London's Inn the Park with restaurateur Oliver Peyton (open April 2004) and Tokyo Hipsters Club with World Co. (open October 2005).
